Romanian brands are continuously creating new pieces and collections, which they showcase at major industry events to solidify their presence on international markets. At the beginning of the year, Romanian furniture and interior decoration companies unveiled their latest projects and engaged in discussions with representatives of major retailers, furniture showrooms, distributors, developers, as well as architects and designers from around the world.

Nine Romanian furniture manufacturers participated in the January Furniture Shows at NEC Birmingham, held from January 19–22, 2025. These companies exhibited under the brand Romanian Furniture – Together for Future, while also promoting their own brands.

Romanian producers impressed with artistic furniture and decorations, designer furniture ranging from classic to rustic and modern styles, crafted from solid wood or wood combined with glass. Their offerings also included products designed for equipping hotel and guesthouse spas, as well as office chairs. For upholstered pieces such as chairs, armchairs, and sofas, eco-friendly, fire-resistant fabrics and high-quality leather were used.

The exhibitors presented both individual pieces and comprehensive furniture programs, ranging from living rooms to bedrooms. The new collections were displayed in impeccably designed stands, harmoniously integrated into the new concept of Romania’s National Pavilion, which will represent the country at future international exhibitions.

Romanian companies were visited by professionals from the UK, Ireland, Scotland, and Lithuania. It is worth noting that the UK ranked 7th in Romania’s furniture export markets, with exports exceeding €135 million in 2023.

At the January Furniture Show, over 50,000 products were showcased, alongside exclusive launches of some of the best brands in the industry. An increased international presence was noticeable across all four halls, with 35% of exhibitors representing international companies. Key players from the USA, UK, Romania, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Belgium, China, and Spain participated, providing a true global showcase of excellence.

Romania’s participation in this event was supported by the Romanian Government through the Export Promotion Program and organized by the Romanian Agency for Investment and Foreign Trade (ARICE) in collaboration with the Romanian Furniture Manufacturers Association (APMR).
